Hi Myra...YES..I am puting in a banana grove this year....I usually have them all
over the place but this year...in addition to those..I am going to devote a place
before the entrance into our fenced in "Paradise" a banana grove...[:O) I just
dig them up in the fall...knock most of the dirt of the roots..and lean up
againstthe wall in our UNHEATED garage..it never freezes in there...even in
single diget temps.,.it only got down to 42 dedrees..I have a larger tree in a
container that gets over 12 feet tall...that has been in the garage in total
darkness since...late October...There is a 2 foot sucker next to it that is just
now barely getting brown around the edges of the leaves..it is wild!! Anyway...I
have to say that my most favorite banana is probably the the Blood Banana..I have
picturees on my WWW site..for those that are interested....and if you e-mail me
