Robin:
Haven't seen any answers to this. I know that there are some container
books w/this kind of info--my garden books are mostly inaccessible at the
moment, but maybe someone else can look this up for you!

Subject: veggie ??
Hi all,
I have all my veggie garden planted but still have a few left over in
their starter packs. If I pot them up for some container growing, what
size pot should I use?? I have one summer squash, some cucumbers, some
butternut squash and a few Japanese winter squash. How much room do
their roots need?? I can trellis the cucs but wonder about the winter
squash as they tend to get big. Some in my garden might "fail" so I can
replant but for now they need to move onto a bigger place. Thanks for
your help. Robin in western Mass where I have forgotten what the sun
looks like:(

Did I read some where that veggies need about a cubic foot of soil for each?
That's a pretty heavy pot.
