My Brugmansia started to flower when I cam home from USA - the 4. of July -
and it is still going strong 1,5 mothts later. I wonder if this will go on
untill frost? How is your Brugmansia or Dature acting?

My four rooted cuttings, all of two feet tall, bloomed several times in the
spring and then stopped when the heat started.

I have a Purple Current down in the yard that is huge and has been
blooming
since Mid July. Flowers are smallish. I have dwarf (yeah, right!) white
ones on the deck, which by the way, is looking like the little shop of
horrors with all the vegatation on it. These white ones have huge flowers
but only grow about three feet. Was in a VT greenhouse in Late July and
saw a beautiful one that was about 7 ft. high and the yellow bloom was
about 24 in. long. It was gorgeous! Couldn't find any seed pods on it,
however >;-}

How tall were they when they bloomed? Mine is probably over two feet by
now...

July -
They started blooming at about 18 inches in height. Due to the heat they are
only a little less than 30 inches tall now. I'm saving them for my daughter,
coming to visit this weekend, or I would put them in the dirt. They grow like
weeds around here, there must be two dozen plants with blooms of various colors
within two blocks of here. Some of those plants are at least 8 feet tall because
they are taller than the eaves of the houses where they are planted. Ugly plant,
pretty blooms, at least these are.

Hmm. I know they like a lot of fertilizer, but mine looks very healthy,
wonder why no bloom yet?
