Hi Brigitte and Anji ... it was me: Arnhild and I live in Norway
First: I think I have not said 'hello and welcome' to you two before!? I
have been in Gardens since late last summer, but been little active in list
lately becasue I have been much busy doing other things.
Then to bonsai - thank you both of you for websites! I have vistided them
and aslo others I have found my self. I did not mail this man yet Brigitte
.....
There are some online discussions list, but I get stressed of being online
all the time when reading and writing, I like list like this more .... just
downloading and have good time for reading. It cost money to stay online
all the time and we have only one telephone line into the house.
I just hoped some here in list were bonsai'ers and had something to share.
I have a books that describe some 'how to', so maybe just have to teach
myself. And that should be possible. A basic knowlegde of plant growth
habits and gardening techiques is all that's really needed to train and
care for bonsai. But visualizing just how you want to a plant to look - and
determining how best ot achieve that result - call for artistry. Creating a
bonsai is really an artistic endeavor similar to painting, ceramics or
sculpture. Part of the pleasure this art form is to let me work two of the
things I love most: plants and creative design.
:) Arnhild
- who would like to see Harry shaking his head if he read this! - not much
lazy gardening in bonsai .. but Harry, I rather call it art? :)
