I just received an indoor bonsai from my son for Mother's day. It's a Dwarf
Hawaiian Umbrella Tree in Water Pot, botanical name Schefflera aboricola
according to the description from Proflowers.
I know nothing about bonsais except I think they're neat!
My first question - our well water is pretty hard. Should I use bottled
water for the bonsai mixed with the liquid food that came with it?
Thanks!

This is a care sheet on your plant as a house plant or outdoor shrub in
south Florida. It will do OK indoors but if it doesn't get enough light it will
get leggy. (This means the distance between the leaves and the leaf stems will
get longer as the tree seeks more light.)

Hard water will not hurt the plant, but it may cause a build up of residue
on the pot which is very hard to remove.
Do you have other house plants? How do you treat them?
Do not use water from a salt based water softener.

Don't know. Hope you will not have to use bottles, will be expensive....
