Just bought 6 mums in 6" pots. Blooms are just about to pop. Of course they
need repotting. Water 2 times a day to keep from drooping. On east porch
with morning sun and oven like breezes.
If I repot in this stage of bloom will I put it into shock and loose
my blooms?

Ok. zone 7a
It is a plastic pot. So I guess when they do quit blooming I would be safer
then to repot so I don't loose any blooms.
Thanks for the info. Since they are in my window boxes I can easily see
if they start to droop and water them. Those guys will keep you on your
toes!

Trying to get caught up so you may already have this answer. But didn't
see a reply by subject line. You may affect the display if you re-pot now,
not necessarily shock but those are probably potted and timed to do a
maximum display in a pot of that size, right now.
You didn't mention what kind of pot that is. We get them here sometimes in
a kind of heavy paper/cardboard pot. I stick those in the ground as is.
If it is in a clay pot, inserting the whole pot in another, and filling it
with dirt that you keep wet will help a lot.
If it is a plastic pot; my least favorite, the only thing I can suggest is
putting it in a saucer that you can fill with water. You will have to
observe and make sure that the water does dry out at some point in the day.
They won't want to be wet all of the time.
Hope this helps.
